Repertoire- Stock of songs, plays. etc

Today my post will be expand your knowledge, so if you wish to learn more, you should continue reading after this line.

    Grammar
The system of rules that every speaker formulates through the process of first language acquistion. System of knowledge that linguists refer to as grammar.

    Phonetics and phonology
Involve the description of the speech sounds of a language.

Phonetics includes the physical aspects of speech production, which include the following three areas:
    Articulatory phonetics
    Auditory phonetics
    Acoustic phonetics

Phonology handles the organization of speech sounds and their relationship to each other.
For example, the sounds p and b are distictive in English because they differentiate words, as in patter and batter. These distinctive sounds are called phonemes, which are the smallest units of language distinguish meaning.

If you pay close attention to the way you pronounce top, water, Latin you will note that t is aspirated at the beginning of the word.

Word stress and intonation of phrases and sentence are also parts of phonology. Vowels often change their pronunciation depending upon the position of the stress in the word. Contrast the pronunciation of the italic vowels in the following words: photograph, photography; diplomatic, diplomacy.

I love english! I'm learning advance english grammar. Not easy!
